1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
2 sticks of cinnamon
3 cloves
1 large grated coconut
1 can of condensed milk

Mix the sugar, water, cinnamon, and cloves
Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes or until a syrup forms
Add the grated coconut and cook, stirring occasionally, until it's well absorbed
This takes another 10 minutes or so
Add 1 can of condensed milk and remove from heat
Serve in a compote dish
Divide into 4 portions.
