1 pound of figs
1 cup (scant) of sugar
3/4 cup of water
3 slices of lemon peel
1 pound of figs
1 cup (scant) of sugar

3 slices of lemon peel
Wash the figs thoroughly in running water and reserve
In a saucepan, mix the sugar with the water and bring to low heat
Simmer for 5 minutes
Add the whole figs and 3 lemon slices
Cook on low heat for approximately 20 minutes or until the figs become transparent
Let it cool and store the figs in sealed containers in the refrigerator, until serving.
