6 small pears (1 kg), without skin, cut into 8 pieces each

2 cups of black raisins (300g)

6 1/4 cups of orange or tangerine juice (1.5 liters)

In a large saucepan, cook all the ingredients over high heat, stirring with a wooden spoon, until the pear is tender (about 10 minutes)
