Peel the bananas and reserve
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
Add the bananas, brush with lemon juice, and cook, turning occasionally, until they're tender

Mix together the sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon, sprinkle over the bananas , and let it sit over low heat until the caramel is cooked

Pour the cognac into a chalice
Flame the liquor by pouring it over a candle flame, tilting the chalice slightly to get the drink to flambé
Pour it still flaming over the bananas

Serve two warm bananas and one scoop of ice cream per plate.
