1 cinnamon stick

Combine the sugar and water and bring to a simmer over low heat until it forms a syrup at a fine thread stage
While that's happening, peel the mangoes and cut them into thin slices
When the syrup is ready, add in the pits and sliced mangoes, cinnamon stick, and cook over low heat for 20 minutes
Remove the pits and let it cool
Serve dusted with cinnamon
