Wash the strawberries and mix with sugar
Let it rest for about 3 or 4 hours
Heat over low heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil
Cook at high heat until thickened, about 20 minutes
Add lemon juice and continue cooking for another 10 minutes
Immediately pour into sterilized jars, leaving a 6 mm gap on top
Seal the jar and cook in a water bath for 15 minutes
