1 turnip, peeled and chopped
2 large carrots, peeled and chopped

Cut the beef into small pieces or into 1-inch cubes
Let it brown lightly in olive oil, along with chopped onion
Season with salt and black pepper
Add the broth
Let it cook for about 40 minutes
Add the turnip and carrots, cut into 1-inch cubes
Add thyme and let it cook for another 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender
Check the seasoning and add some chopped fresh parsley
Serve in 4 portions.
