Mix the half-and-half and cold water in a stand mixer bowl, and let it sit in the freezer for about 20 minutes to chill thoroughly, both the mixture and the bowl
Beat vigorously without letting it warm up
If it gets too hot, place the bowl over ice cubes
Add the lime juice and sugar gradually, continuing to beat
In just a few minutes, you'll have a delicious whipped cream that's thick and fluffy
You can add vanilla if you like
