4 eggs
80 g of vanilla sugar
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1 package of vanilla-flavored sweetened condensed milk
1/4 liter of milk
4 sheets of white gelatin
2 egg whites
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 to 2 tablespoons of rum
crunchy chocolate cake, broken into small pieces

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla sugar until frothy
Add the vanilla-flavored sweetened condensed milk, cornstarch, and milk
Place the mixture over simmering water and whisk until it thickens slightly
Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the gelatin, dissolved in cold water
Whisk well until the gelatin has fully dissolved
When the cream starts to thicken, add 2 tablespoons of crunchy chocolate cake (reserve some for garnish)
Add the beaten egg whites and whipped heavy cream
Season to taste with rum
Pour into individual serving cups and garnish with reserved crunchy chocolate cake and a maraschino cherry, if desired
Chill for at least 4 hours.
