Mix together half a cup of all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and shredded coconut in a saucepan
Add the milk slowly, stirring well
Cook over medium heat, stirring until it thickens and boils
Remove from heat
Beat the egg with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
Add a little of the cornstarch mixture and stir well
Add the remaining milk to the saucepan and cook, stirring for another 2 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool slightly
Add the guava
Place in serving dishes
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate
Serve chilled
