Soak the damasks in water and a little bit of sugar; let them sit for 2 days, then drain and dry on a wire rack. When ready to fill, pat them dry with a cloth.
Nut filling
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of chopped nuts
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of Port wine

Bring all to a boil and when the bottom of the pan appears, it's done
Remove from heat and fill the damasks
Dip in glaze
Glazed syrup; bring 2 cups of sugar to a boil
Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and let simmer until it reaches the point where it breaks like a ball
Reduce heat to minimum and pass the sweets, placing them on a greased marble surface.
