Place the grated pumpkin in a container with 6 liters of water and let it soak for one day to another
Drain, squeeze, and reserve
In a large pot, combine the water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and pumpkin
Bring to a boil at high heat
Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes or until the pumpkin is soft
Remove and let it cool down
After cooling, place in preserving jar.
