2 3/4 cups of pumpkin puree, finely ground

Bring a large pot with plenty of water to a boil and let it simmer
Add the pumpkin puree and cook until it comes to a boil again
Drain well and adjust slightly between your hands to remove excess water
Put back into the pot, along with 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water, and the cloves
Let it simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes, or until it starts to release from the bottom of the pot
Let the custard cool down and put it into a serving dish
Serve with fresh grated cheese .
