For the sauce
2 medium onions (200g) finely chopped
1 small red bell pepper (100g), finely chopped
5 medium tomatoes (500g) finely chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
300g ground beef (pork or beef), minced
4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (for dusting)

In a large pot, bring 3 liters of water to a boil with 1 tablespoon of salt over high heat
Add the spaghetti and cook, uncovered, until al dente (10 minutes)
Prepare the sauce: in a medium pot, combine all ingredients and cook over high heat until boiling
Reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the meat is tender
Drain the spaghetti and mix it with the sauce
Transfer to a bowl, dust with Parmesan cheese, and serve
