2 chicken breasts, boneless and cut into 3 cm pieces
1 green pepper, cut into 8 pieces
8 slices of onion
3 tablespoons soy sauce or English-style sauce
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 well-beaten egg
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or margarine
Sauce:
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons mustard

Sauce:

Prepare the skewers like this: chicken, pepper, onion, chicken, onion, ending with chicken
Mix the soy sauce, vinegar, and olive oil
Pour over the skewers in a shallow dish
Let it rest for 10 minutes, turning occasionally
Dip the skewers in the beaten egg and then in the flour, covering them well
Heat the vegetable oil or margarine in a frying pan
Add the skewers and cook for 5 minutes, turn and cook for another 5 minutes
Cover and cook slowly for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the meat is cooked through
Mix the sauce ingredients and heat them up
Spread over each skewer at serving time
Serve with 4 skewers.
