4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 40 pieces of 3 or 4 cm each
16 lime peel strips
For the marinade:
1 1/2 cups natural yogurt
1/4 cup grated cucumber
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
3 sprigs of rosemary, crushed
For basting:
5 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

Do 3 hours in advance
Mix the marinade ingredients together in a bowl and add the chicken
Cover, let sit for 3 hours, stirring occasionally
Thread the ingredients onto skewers in the following order: chicken, lime, chicken, chicken, chicken, lime, chicken
Grill or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, flip and brush with butter and lime juice
Bake for an additional 8 to 9 minutes
Brush generously before serving
Optional: Prepare skewers on a grill
