Soak the dried beef in cold water for at least 12 hours

Drain and simmer the beef in 2 liters of water for 10 minutes
Then, drain again and cook until tender
Reserve one cup of the cooking liquid

Shred the beef, removing any cartilage or fat
Sauté the garlic in butter until golden brown
Add the onions, shredded beef, and sauté for 5 minutes
Add the reserved cooking liquid to achieve a nice texture

Slice the jalapeños into thin rounds and season with salt
Fry the jalapeños in hot oil until crispy
Drain on paper towels
Serve with the dried beef
