5 pounds of white or red kidney beans (1 kg)
8 ounces of bacon

Leave the beans to soak overnight
Cook it with the whole bacon until almost ready, then finish cooking in the oven
Drain some of the broth so that when you put the beans in a baking dish, there's about 0.5 cm of broth on top
Cut the bacon and mix it with the beans along with the onion, garlic, honey, and olive oil
Cover with slices of linguiça
Place in the lower rack of the oven and bake at 250°C for about 1 hour, or until a golden crust forms.
