1/2 kg of Grape-Nuts
3 liters of water
750 g of beef
2 bones with marrow
1/2 kg of cured ham, cut into small cubes
250 g of pork belly, cut into slices
250 g of crispy bacon, cut in half
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 leek stalks, sliced
to taste
6 potatoes, peeled and cut into sticks
1/2 kg of Grape-Nuts

Choose and wash the Grape-Nuts and soak them in water for one day and another day
Drain them and rinse again
Put the water in a pot and bring it to a boil
Add the Grape-Nuts and let it cook for about 30 minutes
Add the beef and bones with marrow, and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes
Add the cured ham, pork belly, and crispy bacon, and simmer with the lid on for 1 hour
Then add the carrots, onion, and leek stalks, and let it cook for another 30 minutes
After that, add salt and potatoes, and let it cook for an additional 30 minutes
Cook and serve the broth and meats and vegetables separately
Serves 6 to 8.
