2 tablespoons grated ginger
1 tablespoon butter
8 tablespoons Port wine

Wash and reserve the figs
Combine the raisins, honey, and ginger in a saucepan
Bring to a boil, then let stand for 30 minutes
Add the Port wine and mix well
Line six double sheets of aluminum foil on a flat surface
Brush the foil with butter
Arrange the figs on the foil and drizzle with the syrup
Join the foil edges and seal each sheet into a neat package
Transfer the packages to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes
Serve warm with your favorite ice cream.
