Season the beef with salt and pepper
Heat a pan with olive oil and butter over high heat
When hot, add the beef fillet and brown it on all sides
It should be well browned on the outside and pink on the inside (check by cutting it in half)
Mix the potato puree with nuts and Porto wine
Cover the beef with this paste and place it in a preheated oven at 200°C for 5 minutes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices
Wash well, dry, and fry in hot oil until golden brown
Drain on paper towels and spear each one onto the potato puree, decoratively
Heat in the oven just before serving
