In a saucepan, combine the sugar and 1/4 cup of water and let it simmer over low heat until the sugar dissolves
Then add the chocolate and butter and stir until melted
Remove from heat to cool slightly. Reserve
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix with the reserved warm sugar mixture and flour
Pour into a greased 20 cm diameter mold and bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 1 hour in a water bath
Remove from oven, let it cool, and unmold
If desired, top with whipped cream or chantilly
Slice into 20 portions
