2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 cup (120g) of mushrooms or 125g of fresh mushrooms sliced into strips
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
2 cups of chicken broth
2 cups of chicken mixture
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of red bell pepper chopped into cubes (optional)
1 tablespoon of chopped green onion
cooked rice or vol au vent

In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine
Add the mushrooms
Saute for a few minutes
Add the flour and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly
Gradually add the chicken broth
Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened
Add the chicken mixture, milk, bell pepper (optional), and green onion
Simmer in low heat for an additional 10 minutes
Serve with rice or in vol au vent
