two cups sour cream
one cup pitted and chopped green olives

Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste
Sear the garlic, onions, and butter in a pan until caramelized
Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides
Add the white wine and water, simmering until the sauce thickens
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed
Cover the pan and let it simmer over low heat for one hour
Add the sour cream and olives, stirring constantly
Simmer for an additional 20 minutes without boiling to prevent curdling
Serve with rice or fettuccine
