1 chicken cut into pieces

1 can of pepper rings in brine
2 medium onions cut into rings
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of ginger paste
2 green peppers cut into strips
4 tablespoons of cornstarch

Sprinkle the chicken with 3 tablespoons of salt
Fry the chicken pieces in butter or margarine until golden brown
Drain the pepper rings and set aside
Add the pepper rings, onions, lemon juice, ginger paste, and remaining salt to the pan with the chicken
Cook until the chicken is tender, then cover and simmer for 10 minutes more
Stir in the cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water to make a paste, and add it to the pan
Add the pepper rings back into the pan and cook over low heat for an additional 5 minutes
Serving with rice
