For the chocolate sauce:
120g dark chocolate
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoons brandy

For the chocolate sauce:

Grease a 25x12x8 cm loaf pan lightly with butter
Beat the heavy cream slightly in a large bowl
Gradually add the sugar and beat at low speed, being careful not to overbeat
Add the hazelnuts or pistachios, dark chocolate chips, crystallized cherries, and brandy
Place in the loaf pan
Gently tap the loaf pan on a surface to distribute the mixture evenly
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm
Release the sides with a sharp knife
Dismantle
Garnish with chocolate shavings
Serves 8-10 people
Makes 2 recipes
Prepare the sauce:
Melt the dark chocolate with water in a small pan
When the chocolate starts to melt, stir constantly
Remove from heat and add brandy
Refrigerate
If too thick when serving, add a little hot water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
