Reducing Food Waste: Fruit Sorbet Delight

Fruit Sorbet with Yogurt (Reducing Food Waste: Fruit Sorbet Delight)

  • 1

Overripe fruits that are destined to go bad can actually become delicious desserts. Mother, passionfruit, banana, and other fruits that ripen quickly can be turned into a tasty treat. Start by peeling and chopping the ripe fruit into chunks. Store it in an airtight container or freezer bag. When serving time arrives, place 1/2 cup of natural yogurt in a processor or blender and slowly add, without stopping to stir, 1 cup of the fruit. Serve immediately. The dessert will resemble a very creamy sorbet. You can also add a pinch of sugar if desired. It's a treat!
