2 tablespoons of unsweetened gelatin
4 cups of milk
1 cup of sugar
60g of melted bittersweet chocolate
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Soften the gelatin in 1/2 cup of milk for 5 minutes
Heat the remaining milk with sugar until dissolved
Add the softened gelatin
Stir over low heat until the gelatin has dissolved
Add the chocolate
Let it cool a bit
Add vanilla
Pour into a wet mold with water
Refrigerate until firm, then unmold and serve with whipped cream or caramel sauce, if desired.
