2 white gelatin sheets, unsalted
4 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice
3/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 teaspoon of grated orange zest
4 or 5 orange slices, peeled and cut into wedges
2 cups of cubed or crushed pineapple
2 white gelatin sheets, unsalted
4 cups of freshly squeezed orange juice
3/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 teaspoon of grated orange zest
4 or 5 orange slices, peeled and cut into wedges
2 cups of cubed or crushed pineapple
In a small refrigerator-safe bowl, combine the gelatin with 1/4 cup of water
Let it sit for a few minutes to hydrate, then place it in a warm water bath to melt
Remove from the heat and mix in the freshly squeezed orange juice, sugar, lime juice, and grated orange zest
Pour 1 cup of that mixture into a 22 cm diameter mold, moistened with water
Place it in the refrigerator or on top of an ice bath until the gelatin is almost set
Remove from the refrigerator and arrange the orange slices and pineapple cubes
Cautiously add another 1 cup of the liquid gelatin mixture
Return to the refrigerator to chill again until firm
Add the remaining gelatin and place in the refrigerator for 6 hours or until set
Unmold and serve
