4 cups of strawberries

Use only firm and bright red strawberries
Remove stems and wash thoroughly
Dry with paper towels
Place in a pot with sugar
Do not add water
Cook over medium heat, without stirring, for about 20 minutes or until the juice has thickened slightly
To check the consistency, place a little of the mixture on an ice cube
If the surface of the mixture thickens, the gelée is ready
Add 1 1/2 cups
Cover and refrigerate.
