3/4 cup of sugar
2/3 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of Karo
2/3 cup of water
6 tablespoons of butter or margarine

Combine the sugar, brown sugar, Karo, water, and butter (or margarine) in a saucepan
Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves
Continue cooking without stirring until it reaches the hard-ball stage
Remove from heat
Allow to cool rapidly, in amounts of 1/2 tablespoon, onto a greased surface
When firm, wrap in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container between sheets of plastic wrap.
