1 cup of wheat bran
softened butter or margarine
750g of ground meat
1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 and 1/4 teaspoons of salt

Cut the loaf in half lengthwise; spread butter or margarine on the loaf
Mix remaining ingredients; spread over the loaf to a thickness of 1cm, lifting the edges slightly
Place in oven with heat turned down, until desired level of doneness is reached
Add small pieces of butter on top of meat when serving, if desired
Garnish with onion rings
To serve
Cut each half into large portions
Serve eight ways.
