3 cups of water
2 cups of lentils
1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons of butter
12 leaves of lettuce
12 tomato slices
6 hamburger buns
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg

Cook the lentils in a large pot with water until tender
This should take about 45 minutes
Drain and transfer the cooked lentils to a bowl
Mix the cooked lentils with whole wheat flour and egg until a firm dough forms (if needed, add more flour)
Set aside
Preheat the oven to medium temperature
Brush the baking sheet with oil
Fry the onion and garlic in butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft
Add the cooked lentils to the bowl and mix well
Season with salt and divide into six portions
Grease a flat surface and your hands with oil
Mold each portion into a hamburger shape
Place the hamburgers on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes
Cut the buns in half
Filling: lettuce, burger, and tomato
Serving.
