1 quart of sugar
5 cups of cold water
peel from 2 lemons (just the green part)
3/4 cup of lemon juice
1 quart of sugar
5 cups of cold water

Combine sugar, 1 quart of water, and lemon peel in a pot
Let it boil and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes
Let it cool
Add lemon juice and the remaining water
Taste and adjust as needed
Chill in the refrigerator before serving
Yield: 1 1/2 liters.
