Using a pear corer, remove the cores from the pears

Bake for 15 minutes, brushing the pears with the juices that will form at the bottom of the baking dish
Reduce the oven temperature to medium and insert the cinnamon sticks into the cavity of each pear
Let it bake for another 10 minutes, brushing with the juices from the baking dish until the pears are golden brown and tender
If the brown sugar starts to burn at the bottom of the baking dish, add 1/4 cup of water
Remove from the oven and transfer to individual plates
Brush with the juices from the baking dish and decorate with fresh mint leaves.
