Using a sweet potato peeler, remove the skin from the sweet potatoes

Cut the sweet potatoes into thin slices horizontally

Preheat the oven to high temperature
In the baking sheet, place the sweet potato slices one on top of the other, forming the shape of the whole fruit
Fill each sweet potato with a little bit of sugar, butter, and rum

Sprinkle the remaining sugar and butter over the sweet potatoes
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15 minutes, brushing the sweet potatoes with the cald that forms at the bottom of the pan

Reduce the oven temperature to medium and insert the cinnamon sticks into each sweet potato
Let it cook for another 10 minutes, brushing with the cald from the baking sheet or until the sweet potato is golden brown and soft
If the sugar starts to burn at the bottom of the pan, add 1/4 cup of water.
