In a medium skillet, combine the butter and brown sugar and cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until the butter melts (about 1 minute)
Add the rum and pecans, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the syrup thickens slightly (about 9 minutes)
Remove from heat, sprinkle with cinnamon, and let cool (about 6 minutes)
