250 g of macaroni (preferably curved, furadinho)
2 cups of white sauce (see recipe below)
1 cup of grated cheese
1/2 cup of breadcrumb
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
White Sauce:
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 pinch of black pepper
2 cups of milk
250 g of macaroni (preferably curved, furadinho)

1/2 cup of breadcrumb

White Sauce:
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt

2 cups of milk
Heat a large pot with water
When the water is boiling, add 1 tablespoon of salt and macaroni
Leave it to cook for 10 or 12 minutes, until it's al dente
While that's cooking, grate the cheese and make the white sauce as follows: Melt the butter or margarine over low heat
Add the flour and seasonings and mix well
Add the milk gradually and mix constantly, preferably with a wooden spoon
Cook for 5 minutes over low heat
Drain the macaroni and in a baking dish greased with butter, place a layer of macaroni and then one of cheese
Repeat the layers
Top with the white sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumb, and cover with butter pieces
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes
Serve hot every 6-7 people
