In a bowl, gently mix together the flour, salt, and sugar
Add in the cold butter, cut into small pieces, to form a coarse crumb mixture
Gradually add in the ice-cold water (1 tablespoon at a time), stirring with a fork until the dough comes together in a cohesive mass that holds its shape when touched with your hands
If needed, add a little more water
Shape the dough into a disk and wrap it in aluminum foil
Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
