1/2 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
to taste
1 cup pickle slices
1 cup chopped onion

Combine the ground beef, onion, milk, bread crumbs, green pepper, parsley, salt, and black pepper; mix well and shape into small balls
Gently flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a cup
Pan-fry the mini hamburgers on both sides until cooked through
Transfer to a serving dish and keep warm
Serve with pickle slices and chopped onion, allowing each guest to assemble their own hamburger
Serve with special small buns for this occasion; these can be purchased at supermarkets.
