In a saucepan, heat the cupuaçu pulp and sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or until thickened
Distribute among eight muffin cups with 5 cm diameter greased with butter
Prepare the dough
In a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar to obtain a light mixture
Add the eggs one at a time, beating always
Mix in the vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, and milk just until combined
Distribute among the reserved muffin cups to about three-quarters of the way up and bake in a hot oven (200°C), preheated, for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool and unmold
Decorate with orange zest and serve.
