Dissolve the yeast in warm water and add olive oil
Combine flour, salt, and yeast mixture in a bowl, making a depression in the center and adding the yeast mixture
Mix until a dough forms that can be worked with your hands
Place the dough on a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic
Form into a ball, place in a greased bowl, flip once to grease both sides
Cover with cloth and let rise in a protected area for 1 hour
Open the dough on a floured surface, about 1 cm thick
Cut out circles of about 6 cm diameter, place in a baking dish, and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes to pre-bake
Remove from oven, spread with tomato sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and basil
Bake for an additional 10 minutes
Yield approximately 40 units.
