Sear the onion in the olive oil or butter for 5 minutes
Add the tomatoes and cook for an additional 5 minutes
Combine the beef, cumin, and chopped onion
Cook for 2 minutes
Add the lime juice, coconut milk, salt, and pepper to taste
Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Serve with rice
