1 cup of well-whipped sweetened condensed milk - 180 g
1/2 cup of butter or margarine - 120 g
1/2 cup of Karo syrup - 160 g
2 tablespoons of fresh or canned heavy cream - 30 ml
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

In a small saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk and half of the butter
Bring to a simmer over medium heat
Add Karo syrup and heavy cream
Stir vigorously
Reduce heat and cook for about 3 minutes
Remove from heat immediately and add the remaining butter, stirring well
Serve warm or at room temperature
This recipe yields approximately 1 2/3 cups, or around 20 tablespoons.
