3 Malagueta Peppers
1/2 cup dried shrimp, shelled and deveined
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 cup dendê (a type of pepper)
to taste

Grind the malagueta peppers in a blender or food processor
Combine half of the shrimp with the other ingredients and repeat the process
Place the resulting mixture into a small saucepan with the onions, salt, and dendê oil
Heat over low heat and simmer well
Add the whole dried shrimp
Remove from heat and serve chilled
Makes 1 cup.
