1 1/4 cups sweetened condensed milk
1 cup caramel syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup evaporated milk

Combine the sweetened condensed milk, caramel syrup, and butter or margarine in a saucepan
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture dissolves
Let it cool
Add the evaporated milk and vanilla extract, beating with a spoon until well mixed
Transfer to containers with lids and store in the refrigerator
Chill for 2 1/2 hours
Serve slightly warm with ice cream
