Place the chocolate and butter in a double boiler
When the chocolate and butter have melted, add boiling water carefully
Add sugar, salt, and Karo syrup, and stir until the sugar has dissolved
Simmer directly over medium heat for 6 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the sauce from burning
Let it cool and then add nuts and vanilla.
