Preheat the oven to medium temperature
In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg
In another bowl, combine mashed bananas with granulated sugar, melted butter, milk, and eggs
Add the flour mixture and stir until combined
Add chopped walnuts and stir again
Distribute the batter evenly among the muffin liners, filling to 3/4 capacity
Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes
