2 large guavas
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1 tablespoon of lime juice
2 egg whites
1/3 cup of cornstarch

Peel the guavas and cut them into pieces
Blend in a blender
Strain the guava puree through a sieve
Add the cornstarch and lime juice
Refrigerate
Beat the egg whites until stiff
Gradually add the cornstarch, beating well
Add the vanilla and mix carefully
Using two spoons, shape the mixture into meringues and let them slowly slide into a skillet with boiling water
Cook for 1/2 minute on each side
Remove with a skimmer and place on paper towels
Arrange over guava cream and refrigerate until serving time
Serve in 4 portions.
