Sift together the flour and yeast
Add the butter in small pieces and mix with two knives until a crumbly mixture forms
Add the grated mango and cinnamon
Gradually add the milk, stirring with a wooden spoon until a soft but not sticky dough forms
Knead quickly on a floured surface
Roll out to a thickness of about 2 cm
Cut into rounds
Place in a buttered dish lined with flour
Brush with egg and top each one with a thin slice of mango
Sprinkle with salt
Bake in a hot oven (200°C) until golden brown
Let cool for about 10 minutes, perfect for a snack.
